Traction batteries store enormous energy. The professional approach is always the same: isolate the battery using the manufacturer’s service-disconnect procedure, verify the absence of voltage with the correct instrument, and respect the waiting time so inverter capacitors can discharge.
This lesson is theory only. It exists so that a technician recognises the boundary, knows the vocabulary and knows when to hand over to a qualified high-voltage specialist.
