Many EV complaints are actually 12 V problems: the auxiliary battery discharges, a module fails to wake, or a sensor misbehaves. These can be diagnosed with the standard electrical toolkit. The high-voltage domain requires specialist equipment and authorisation.
A vehicle reporting an insulation or isolation fault must be treated as unsafe until proven otherwise and handled according to the manufacturer procedure.
