Body and comfort electronics cover central locking, windows, mirrors, interior lighting and more, usually coordinated by a body control module. Faults here are frequently wiring, a switch, a motor or a ground rather than the module itself.
The immobilizer is an anti-theft system that must authorise the engine to start. When authentication fails, the engine may crank but not fire because injection is inhibited, often with a security warning and specific codes.
