Check engine oil weekly
A two-minute dipstick check each week can save an engine.
The expert tip
- Park on level ground, engine off 5 minutes
- Wipe the dipstick, reinsert fully, pull and read between MIN and MAX
- Top up in small doses with the correct viscosity and spec
- Milky oil = coolant in the oil — stop and get it checked
