What it does
- Connects left and right suspension
- Reduces body roll in corners
- Linked to the body by bushings and drop links
When it fails
- Knocking or clunking on uneven roads
- Excessive body roll
- Tapping when turning
How to diagnose
- Wiggle the drop links for play
- Inspect the bushings
- Check the bar mounts
Maintenance
- Replace worn drop links (cheap, common)
- Replace bushings when cracked
